The latest features from Instagram, Threads and more…
A weekly newsletter about all things social media by Nuelink
Welcome to the Nuesletter and Nuelink Chronicles! Let's dive into the whirlwind of updates, features, and quirks that have been making waves in the social media universe.
X (formerly Twitter) is out here trying to pull the rug from under LinkedIn! They've rolled out a snazzy job listings element in beta for Verified Organizations. Now, businesses can flaunt their open job roles right on their profiles, that’s if you want to pay an arm and a leg for the gold checkmark.
But hold on, there's more from X. They've revamped their creator ad revenue share program, providing creators with more detailed payment period listings. Finally, creators can all keep track of when the cash starts rolling in! Although, with X's selective payouts for ads shown to X Premium subscribers, it's still a bit of a math puzzle. Who's seeing what, you ask? Well, it's a secret X is keeping close to its chest.
In the data privacy side of things, X is shaking things up. They're set to collect your biometric data, job history, and education details starting September 29.
Over at Threads, they've dropped what we've all been waiting for, a web version! Meta is also joining the party, testing post searches on Threads. No more endless scrolling, just type and find!
Speaking of Meta, they're pulling out all the stops to revive Threads' excitement. Now, you might spot a carousel of suggested Threads posts on your Instagram app. It's like a rollercoaster for your social media experience.
Instagram is also making life easier for creators by allowing them to showcase their fans' most intriguing comments on their Stories. After all, who doesn't love a little fan appreciation?
Instagram wasn’t done innovating yet. They're secretly testing Reels that can go up to a whopping 10 minutes. Looks like they're gunning for TikTok and YouTube all at once.
Bluesky is keeping pace with the competition by adding a "Likes" tab to users' profiles. And last but not least, Snapchat is making dreams come true! They've unveiled "Dreams," a generative AI feature that lets you become a mermaid or a renaissance royal.
That's a wrap for this week's Nuelink Chronicles. Stay tuned for more social media shenanigans and tech wizardry in the weeks to come. 📱✨

The “Bad Idea Right?” Trend: This song by Olivia Rodrigo is a great versatile audio for social media content right now. Use it to showcase your OOTD, products, and even moving content.
Memes 🤣
The “I Want To Share With You My Economic Vision” Meme: This gem is a hilarious spin on a video by Joe Biden on Twitter. The meme takes full advantage of the whiteboard Biden is casually hanging out with, showcasing a range of witty and satirical edits. This has also become a meme template used when trying to sarcastically explain something.

Our Two Cents on Social Media Marketing 🧙♂️
Break down information on your content using bulleted lists and subheadings. This makes it easier for social media users to scan and find the information they're interested in.
The internet loves a good list. Lists cater to short attention spans by offering quick and concise insights, promise value, and create anticipation.
If you have longer content like blog posts or videos, create teaser posts that provide a glimpse of what's to come. This can pique curiosity and encourage users to explore further.
As usual, use Nuelink to keep your social media marketing plan running without investing much time and resources with its automation and scheduling features.
