This is how much Twitter is paying its creators!
A weekly newsletter about all things social media by Nuelink
Welcome to this week's edition of Nuelink Chronicles, where we bring you the latest happenings in the world of social media. Let's dive in!
Twitter's new creator ad share payouts have finally started flowing through. Participating creators now need to have generated at least 5 million tweet impressions per month for three consecutive months. With the first payouts being reported by Twitter users today, some creators are even reaching impressive figures like $25k, $30k, and more in some cases. 💵🔥
The new Twitter clone, Threads, has achieved a remarkable milestone. Within just five days of its launch, Threads amassed 100 million sign-ups, surpassing OpenAI's ChatGPT bot in terms of growth. However, the challenge lies in retaining these users on the platform.
To keep those users happy, Meta is swiftly adding branded content tools on Threads. The goal is to run influencer campaigns within the app while ensuring compliance with disclosure regulations. By expanding its branded content tools, Meta aims to prevent undisclosed brand and product endorsements, thus creating a safe environment for users and advertisers. 🆕
Recent reports about Twitter's declining traffic following the launch of Instagram Threads have raised concerns. Although Twitter's new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, denies the decline, some users have noticed potential measures taken by Twitter to limit visibility of Threads-related content. Twitter's selective blocking of links to Threads website in searches indicates its awareness of the potential threat posed by Meta's rival platform.
Twitter Blue subscribers, on the other hand, have access to exclusive features like monetization and tweet editing. These features allow users to avoid the public association of having a verified blue tick mark alongside their username. Additionally, Twitter is working on options that enable users to hide their tweet likes and the list of accounts they follow, providing a more private experience for users.
In the realm of Instagram, in-stream commerce is set to receive a boost with automatic product detection. Brands can now have product tags appended to their Stories during the upload process, facilitating easier utilization of Instagram's in-app product tools. This feature serves as a reminder for social media managers to highlight relevant items and enhance the shopping experience for users.
Lastly, Google's chatbot Bard is constantly evolving to stay ahead of the competition in the generative AI space. Bard now supports image capabilities, allowing users to upload images and request information or captions based on them. With customization options for response styles and audio capabilities in over 40 languages, Bard aims to provide a versatile and user-friendly AI experience. 🤖
That concludes this week's edition of Nuelink Chronicles. Stay tuned for more exciting updates in the ever-evolving world of social media.📱✨
